10/29 — Bear Creek Park

A couple weeks ago me & my new roommate Rowan took the boy out to Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs for the day, mostly because he’d been being COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE & needed an Out before someone killinated him.

He had a pretty good time.

He really wanted to go through the gate, especially since Rowan went through to look for mushrooms, but I didn’t want to go that far & it turned out that was the dog park, so probably a good idea to stay on this side. I explained this to him, but, well, cat.

There was also petting, of which he is particularly fond.

LOVES MOM LOVES

He is REALLY fond of his Unca Rowan.

We also found a weird-looking mullein plant.

They’re usually a lot taller and not sort of crumply like that one. The leaves were all wavy, too.

Plus the biggest plantain leaves I have seen in my entire. Life. Since I use plantain in my Bite, Sting, & Rash salve, of course I picked some.

Plus I brought a seed stalk home to my roommate, since there were plenty of other plantains there. With luck some of them will germinate & there’ll be plantain in the back yard.

We also went to the dog park (because, really, dog park! With dogs!) but I didn’t get pictures there, because people. Loiosh stayed quite happily in the van, because dog park. With dogs.

& then we were p00ped & went home, the end.
